The Ethnic Minority Centre (EMC) is an umbrella organisation for all the Black and Minority Ethnic groups in Merton.
The EMC was established in 1990 to meet the growing needs for a base for BME. Communities with core funding provided by the London Borough of Merton.
Building and serving a diverse community to promote understanding, tolerance and acceptance of all cultures.
The vision of EMC is to be a “strong self-reliant, self-managed and self-fundedorganisation working towards improving the quality of life of all Ethnic Minority communities in London Borough of Merton by recognising the richness in diversity and the strength that comes from unity and collaboration”.
EMC is committed to achieve its vision through development of innovative and needs based programmes achieved as a result of intensive fund raising and partnership development.
